Trinity Vineyard Church

OUR STORY

Trinity Vineyard began when a small group of people felt compelled to share the beauty of Christ and their experience of authentic Christian community with the people of Cypress.

Mike and Amber Lehmann were the youth and college pastors at The Vineyard Church in Stafford/Sugar Land, Texas.  Over a series of a few years God made it clear that he would have them move their family to Northwest Houston and plant a Vineyard church in Cypress.  For more of their personal story – please visit Mike and Amber’s staff profile.

In the spring and summer of 2004 Mike and Amber shared their vision and dreams with the people at The Vineyard in Sugar Land. Twenty-two bold and adventurous men, women, and children joined them in this exciting adventure.

Over the next few months this team came together on a weekly basis to pray together, worship together, and ask God for His leadership.

In September of 2004 Trinity Vineyard gathered together on a Sunday evening for our first weekend service.  We rented out a small dance studio in Fairfield subdivision located at Mason Rd and Hwy 290.  It was a two story facility and we would haul in chairs, tables, and sound equipment up to the second floor each week for set-up. On the bottom floor we would set up all the necessary equipment and supplies for our children’s ministry.  Approximately 40 adults and children attended that first public worship service.

Over the next few months our community continued to add new families and individuals who were excited about what God was doing in and through us.  In March of 2005 we moved our services to Sunday mornings and by May we had outgrown the dance studio.

Just nine months after our first service we were able to lease the facility we currently meet in. Trinity Vineyard continues to grow and enjoy pursuing God in the company of friends.

Our story is made up of hundreds of other stories.  Ultimately, our story is the story of God.  The story of God calling a handful of people to advance His kingdom and make a difference in lives in NW Houston.

We are in awe of how God has used us and continues to use the people of Trinity Vineyard to call people to Himself.  We would love for your story to merge with our story and find purpose, meaning, and life in God’s story.
